The dress is a mermaid style with subtle beading and a chiffon overlay. It is a soft candlelight color. I bought it at Saks (Dress will come in original garment bag) to wear during my reception as it does not have a train. The beautiful 1940's beading that would be perfect, but not too much in pictures! The dress is a 10 and would fit a street size 10 or maybe even a 12. I am a 6-8 and my seamstress said that it would still be fine to cut it down 2 sizes and maintain the integrity of the dress. It has a built in corset and is beautifully constructed. We actually won a contest for a free wedding, so I am trying to sell my other dresses that I had purchased! This is a really beautiful gown and I hope it finds a good home! Please let me know if you would like me to email photos. It is a new gown for 2008 so you won't find it on the designer's website yet (so people won't replicate it) but this is an authentic gown and can be found at Hannelores in Alexandria. I spent about 300 on tailoring and putting a bustle on (it has a regular bustle but you can definitely put a french bustle on if that's what you want).  If you're not familiar with the designer, google Marisa and you'll fall in love with all her dresses. The 756 is timelessly classic, elegant, and the mermaid silhouette is SO flattering.
