I have 12 used paper lanterns. They are actually a very light orange, if you are looking at them in the daylight, but they look a natural beige color when lit up at night.
There were 12 bulbs to go with them, but one broke, so, now just 11. The lanterns are in good shape but one has a pencil-tip-sized hole near the top, and one has a small 1/2 inch tear--by the top--not at all noticeable when you have them hung.
The bulbs are on keychains (each needs 2 AA batteries). The keychains hang nicely from the lanterns. The only problem with battery operated is you have to get up on a ladder to turn them on, an hour or two before the reception. But other than that they are convenient and pretty.
