Hi- I figured I would ask you ladies because everyone is sooo helpful. I want to get my fiance a Mac Pro for one of his wedding gifts. Do you know if Apple has any sort of coupons or discouonts that I might be able to use? Thank you so much!!
They have educational discounts if you are associated with a school. Other than that, the only way I know to get things cheaper is to buy refurbished (Apple sells them and you can still get Applecare Protection for them).
I bought my fiance a Mac Pro 15in. for his wedding gift with an educational discount. I am a student and they never asked for my ID or anything online. I went thru the entire process online with my id in hand and it nevfer asked me and they have never sent me anything since. I did this in Feb. 08. It was $200 off.
Also depending where you are. Several large bay area (San Francisco) companies get reciprocity discounts. Meaning Apple employees get a discount to buy our products and we get a discount to buy Apple products. For Example Gap, Williams-Sonoma etc. So if you know anyone at these companies who might be willing to let you use their discount. It generally happens at a specific time of year.
