I bought a pre-owned Betsey Johnson dress a while back that I thought might be nice for our engagement party or rehersal dinner. Unfortunatley, it's a size 6, and a tad loose.
My measurements are bust: 33", waist: 24.5", and hips: 35", and a few extra inches, especially in the bust and waist, would fill this dress beautifully. The flowing skirt should accomidate any hip measurement from a size 2 to 8.
The dress is a super-silky material and has a bold, detailed leaf pattern in elegant cream and tan, 1" thick straps, and a modified sweetheart neckline. There are teeny little pleats all along the waist of the dress that give the knee length skirt a super flowy, romantic look. The dress has a concealed side zipper and it ties in a bow in the back. The bottom has a really unique border design that I just LOVE and the fabric feels amazingly light and soft.
When I bought the dress it was most definitely in used condition. There isn't a single spot or sign of wear on the fabric, but some of the stitching had come a bit loose. I fixed everything by hand myself, except a few threads that could use attention around the bottom of the zipper which could be fixed easily by a seamstress or anyone who knows how to use a needle and thread. Other than that, the dress is perfect.
Most Betsey Johnson dresses sell for $300+ dollars new. $40 will include shipping in the US or Canada.
