Selling an unworn but without tags BCBG strapless applique dress from Nordstrom in size 8 (equivalent to street size 8). See all the details here. And see lots of other photos of the dress on real brides here. Selling for $275 plus shipping via priority mail.
Hi indiebride! I'm a bit confused about something with this dress.... some pictures (like the one you have up) have a lot of "poof" on the flowers, but other pictures (like the top one in the thread that you link to) have the flowers lying flat on the dress without any extra fabric.
Do you think it's a slightly different dress they're making now, or is the poof removable in some way?
Hi there, I think Nordstrom updated their photo recently to more accurately reflect the flowers. They are definitely poofier than the earlier photo portrayed them... there is tulle at the center of each flower that gives them the added dimension. I think it would be possible to press the taffeta part of the flowers flat, but not the tulle. I'd refer to the photos of the real dresses on real girls at the link above for the most accurate depiction. If you like, I will send you a photo of the actual dress... just PM me with your email address!
Hi again, I think the tulle is just gathered and stitched at the center and should be fairly easy to remove. I'll look at it closely when I get home and let you know. The other thing you could do is cut the tulle so there's not so much of it, and leave just a small tulle "center" of the flower. As for size, I am usually a 6 and found that I could wear either the 6 or the 8. I guess it depends on if you want it really fitted or not... I thought on me that the pleats fell better with it a little looser. If you decide you want the dress and are worried about the size, we could work it out so you could return it to me if the size isn't right.
Thanks so much for your help! After looking at the sizing chart again I think I need a 6 at most though so I think the 8 would be too big. Thanks again :)

posted by indiebride 2 years agoThanks! Sorry, a follow-up question - does it look like the tulle is easily removable?
And also, what do you think about their sizing? I'm usually a 6 but occasionally an 8, do they run true to size?
