Cake Toppers?

  • Does anyone have any ideas for cheap wedding toppers?  I am having a small 6" cake on each guest table.  There will be about 25 tables.  I saw some really cute "I DO" Wilton Cake Toppers for $.90 at a local store but when I went back to buy them I found they no longer sell them.  So bummed that I missed out on getting all the toppers for less than $25.

Would anyone have any suggestions of cake toppers at a similar price? I have had no luck online.  I would even be open to making them myself but have yet to think of anything that wouldnt look homemade.

    Thanks a bunch!

What about using just the letter of your new last name.  You can get some at local craft stores fairly inexpensive.  If you want to get realy fancy...glue rhinestones on them.Smile

I did try constructing something using a wooden letter and gluing flowers to it but it just didnt look right.  I was afraid of using spray paint or anything like that in case they come in contact with the cake  Thanks for the suggestion though!

What i am suggesting are that they do carry actual toppers with letters.  The ones my craft store has are acrylic and you can hot glue rhinestones on them.  If your local craft stores do not have any of these in the wedding section, find a store that sells cake and candy supplies...they also carry them

These are what I am talking about.  Now granted, this website is extremely expensive and they can be found much cheaper.  They are around one dollar at Pat Catans craft stores:

I am making a bunting cake topper, and then a double heart to go underneath it with our initials.  It is super cheap to make.  I can put a picture up to show after I am done tonight. :)  It costs less than $5 to make.
