I am looking for candy jars for my November wedding candy buffet. I have looked all over for perfect ones, and have been unable to find any. If you have any for sale, I would really like to know. Thanks

Hiya, My wedding is in October (on the 20th) and I am having a candy buffet also. I have several different kinds of jars, though none of them are the apothecary ones with lids because those were so expensive. I tried to find pictures of what I have, so here are the basic different shapes:

The basic fishbowl

In the large size

Basic shape with wide opening for hands or scoops

[Sorry the last two don't have pics - the site won't let me post them here for some reason]

I have no idea how many I have of each because I've been picking them up a little at a time based on coupons I have or sales going on. I don't know if this is the vision you have for yours but if you're still interested let me know and I can take more in-depth pictures of my "inventory" and figure more of the details out.   Let me know if you have more questions!

when in november?  my wedding is end of october and if we're close in location, i wouldn't mind selling some to you.  i'm in los angeles area.

otherwise, i surprisingly found some at ikea and walmart.  i have a cognac-shaped one, a martini glass shaped one, some circular, and other shapes.  i particularly picked out ones with wide mouths in order to help facilitate the scooping for the ease of guests.  i saw some apothecary ones with lids at walmart too, but i didn't think it would very easy to scoop the candy out.

good luck!

Save on Crafts has excellent ones. Also, I'm not sure if you have discount stores like Marshalls or TJ Max, but try there if you do! I spent about $100 on 10-12 jars for my candy buffet. Later I went to Crate and Barrel and Smith and Hawken where I found the same exact jars for around $50-80 each.
