This is a beautiful ivory strapless gown which features an empire waist and an A-line skirt with a sweep train. It is made with two layers of silk organza on top with a layer of built-in crinoline and lining underneath. There are two satin ribbons which cross over the bust and wrap around the back of the gown. Soft boning in the bodice adds support and prevents creasing. Three satin bands adorn the hem of the skirt and train. It has a concealed zipper back, complete with beautifully covered buttons.
Dress Condition: This gown was a showroom sample. I purchased this gown at a sample sale at the main Amsale boutique on Madison Avenue in NYC. This dress has never been altered. It can easily be sized down one to two sizes. It has never been worn in a wedding or pre-owned by anyone. It has been tried on by me and others in the boutique only. It is in near perfect condition with no visible stains, spots, or fabric pulls. There is tear on the hem of the lining (the inner most layer), the fabric needs to be stitched which can easily be done by a seamstress. The tear is not visible unless you lift up the skirt. There is also a faint lipstick mark in the inside of the gown at the front of the bodice. I recommend having it professionally pressed before your special day. Gown has been stored in a white garment bag in a smoke-free home.
