As a recent bride who agonized over how to pay for good wedding photography, I know how tough it is to make it all work, budget-wise.
So I had an idea- does anyone want to barter something for their wedding photography? My business is Images Of Distinction, and my website is www.iodphotography.com. To view my most recent work, visit my blog at www.iodphotography.wordpress.com. I'm based in Wisconsin, but travel to pretty much anywhere is possible. Of course, it's easiest in the Midwest, but for the right barter, I'd go to Sri Lanka. :)
Right now my prices are $750-$1400, but FYI- I don't plan on keeping them this low forever! It's my third year in business, but first year advertising, so I'm trying to build up my business before I raise prices any further. All packages include a DVD of fully edited images and a printing release. Most packages include a custom coffee table book. I also have plenty of glowing references from past customers.
So... who's up for a barter? Things I'm interested in:
If you are local to Wisconsin/Minnesota/Iowa/Illinois: services for my home such as drywall, bathroom remodel, new driveway, landscaping, ect.
If you are not local, I'd consider bartering for some travel. I love to visit new places, so how about an exchange for a flight and hotel for a nice mini-cation?
