I wore a Maggie Sottero Colby for 2 hours during my wedding in August. I felt absolutely beautiful in the dress and want to sell it because such a dress should be worn by another beautiful bride on her special day. It would be a shame to seal the dress in a box to be placed in the back of a closet.
The Maggie Sottero Colby is a strapless, sweetheart neckline, one-piece, slim A-line, Toman chiffon gown, with corset back. The gown features soft gathers that fold into the side waist of the gown (creating an unbelievably slimming effect around the waist) and are accented with a spray of beads. The Maggie Sottero Colby comes with a certificate of authenticity. It is size 4 petite (not street size). Per Maggie Sottero's sizing chart, the regular length is for someone who is 5'10" wearing 2" heels. Since I'm short, I ordered the petite length, which is perfect for someone who is 5'6" wearing 2" heels. I wore 5.5" platform wedge heels, so the hemline did not need to be altered.
A very simple bustle was added to the back of the dress to keep the sweep train off the ground. Thanks to the bustle, there is no stain or dirt on the dress at all. The dress looks virtually new. You can remove the bustle if you prefer having a sweep train. Except for the bustle, the dress was not altered in any other way.
I paid around $950 for the dress and the bustle, so I'm asking for $600. Please email i_love_amc at hotmail.
