Hey Bees! Congratulations on all of your upcoming weddings (including those at city hall)! I would love to offer a few hours of free photography for about 3 weddings or so over the course of this summer and I'd also be willing to give some engagement sessions a try, as well as trash the dress.
Here's the scoop:
It's FREE. Yes, 100% free. I will give you a disk of all your images afterwards. All I ask is for you to sign a release form allowing me to use the photos on websites, in portfolios, for marketing, that sort of thing. You can do whatever you'd like with the photos I give you though (though I'd appreciate being given credit when due heh)
The catch is that I'm new to professional photography so I don't have much experience under my belt and I'm looking to build a portfolio and gain the much needed experience. So, I would reccomend that I not be your only photographer if you really place great importance on your photos (why wouldn't you??) I'd be great as a 2nd photographer, you would just need to be sure to get the OK from your primary photog (sometimes it is in the contract that they will be the only photog shooting).

Like you I'm starting my own portfolio and I love organizing events so I thought I should offer my services to 3-5 brides all I ask is that they pay for the travel cost, I'm base in NYC also. (December brides: right now I have quite a few engagement sessions in the works, but if I get some open time, you'll be the first I contact).
posted by JoesWifey 8 months agoAlright, the resquest is open again since things fell through with everyone. Still looking for summer events preferably. I just found a new job so I'm only available weekends now, up until September when I'd be available midmornings as well. Let me know if you're interested!
