This bias-cut silk organza gown with layers and layers of fluttery slightly unfinished edges is by Marisa. This is known as the Marisa 815. While the label is a 10, it has been altered to fit a size 2.
The dress is strapless with a slight sweetheart neckline and a built in bra belt and corset. I had my seamstress add a one shoulder fluttery little piece that could easily be removed. I will also include the Swarovski crystal belt (separate piece). The belt clasps in the back and then ties with the same silk organza as the gown. The long tails of organza flow gently behind as you walk down the aisle. The gown has a Chapel length train and bustles with a French bustle The subtle ivory color is so soft and beautiful and very easy to accessorize. I adored the way in which the layers of silk organza gently flow as you walk. Really feminine and special.
The dress is stunning and unique and very comfortable to wear. The dress fastens with a zipper which is lined with 35 silk buttons (all must be buttoned – they are not just for show!) The dress was purchased in February 2009 and worn in my wedding September 2009.
This dress retailed for $2100 at the time of my purchase and I purchased it the day before a sample sale began for $1600. The gown was essentially brand new to the bridal boutique but they chose to add it to their sample sale due to delicate nature of the organza. They wanted to be able to sell it while it was in beautiful shape. The belt was an additional $225 and the additional fabric for the belt $200. I will also include the additional leftover silk organza.
The gown is in impeccable condition with no stains, rips, snags or tears. Once the layers are steamed professionally, it really is stunning.
More pictures are available upon request. Please email me with any questions.
Dress Alterations
I had the gown altered slightly at the hip for a more fitted look. I also had my seamstress add the one shoulder detail that could easily be removed.
Hi there! You look stunning, and that shoulder piece is a lovely addition! May I ask if you altered the back of the dress at all? I don't recall it being quite so low, but it looks lovlier than I remember!
