Weddingbee

I am getting ready to sell my Monique Lhuillier "Monet" wedding gown along with 2 Original Monique Lhuillier Sashes which are being included in the sale of the gown.  This was truly my dream dress and I have never gotten so many compliments in my life!  Many of my wedding guests told me that this was the most beautiful gown that they had ever seen!

The gown is a strapless sheath gown. It is made of French Alencon embroidered lace in the ML silk white color (an off-white).  The lining is a latte colored 100% silk lining. It has beautiful details such as embroidered lace, pearl buttons lining the back, a french 3 point bustle, a scalloped neckline and a scalloped sweep train.

The sashes are original ML Satin sashes.  One is 4 in. in diameter/gold satin sash but looks as though it is a champagne color.  (I wore this one on my wedding day, simply folded over in half and tied in a knot in the back.)  The other is about a 2 in. in diameter/brown satin sash (never been used). Neither sashes were cut or altered in any way.

The gown and one of the sashes were only worn for about 6 hours on my wedding day.  I purchased this gown at Sak's Fifth Avenue Bridal Salon in Houston, Texas. I have all the original receipts. It was hardly altered.  It fit me "perfectly" from the designer.  The only known alterations that were made were to the length.  This was done by seamstresses in the bridal department at Sak's Fifth Avenue.  I am 5'6" and wore 4 inch stiletto's and requested that the gown sweep the floor in the front so this dress will easily fit someone 5'10" and still have extra fabric to sweep in the front if desired. The dress is a size 4 (my measurements are 34B-24-34).  I was told the dress can be taken in up to two sizes (to a 0 or a 2) but personally I would not recommend letting out this dress to a bigger size.

There are no stains other than light dirt from when I wore it on my wedding day (needs to be dry-cleaned), no tears, no rips, no snags or other damage.  It has been stored in a clean, cedar lined closet in a smoke-free, animal-free home. The dress has not been dry-cleaned.  I am currently in the process of getting quotes from local wedding care specialists in Metairie, Louisiana where I am located.  As soon as it is professional cleaned, I will post it for sale on weddingbee in addition to a popular wedding gown resale site.

I am including the 2 original ML sashes with the sale of the gown.  I would like to keep everything together for the next bride that wears my gown. (The gown is coming with extras such as a train, a 3 point french bustle and the 2 sashes.)

Bearbearbibi, I will get some pic's of my dress together and a quote and email them to you in the next couple days. I have not yet posted my dress for sale on any online resale shops.  I was planning to do that after the dress gets cleaned.
