My fiance is learning the ropes of wedding photography. He is a year book advisor at his school and already takes many photos (posed, action shots, etc) that get published each year.
He has a full line of professional equipment and is well-steeped in weddings (having been a best man multiple times and being involved in our late-June '08 wedding) as well as the art of photography.
We're located in the Bay Area, and he'd love to shoot your wedding for free (charging only travel expenses, ~$100), in exchange for being able to use your photos in his growing portfolio.
You would get to own all images, as he would provide you with disks immediately following the wedding.

We're getting married at the Piedmont Community Hall on Friday, August 15th. My sister in law is doing much of our photography, but we'd love to add another photographer, especially for the formal portraits we'd like her to be in! We're more than happy to sign a photography release so he can use the photos in his portfolio. We'd be very interested; could you let me know what his estimated travel expenses would be to the Piedmont area?
I am having an at home wedding ceremony on september 14, 2008, and would love to have it photographed. It is in San Francisco. Please let me know if your fiance is available. If so, do you have any samples of his work I could look at?
