This is a gorgeous Nicole Miller gown from the 2009 bridal collection. It was perfect for our June wedding in Austin, TX, in 2009. The dress is extremely comfortable. It has two silk layers with an additional lining layer. It's made of a stretch silk, so it fits close to the body, but the ruching makes it very flattering.
The only alterations done were hemming for approximately 3" heels (I am 5'8") and the placement of small push-ups in the bodice area. These were done by an expert dressmaker. The pushups can be removed, if desired, with no damage to the lining, but they do add a nice extra lift.
I had the dress professionally cleaned about a month after the wedding for $100 (I didn't do the more expensive dress preservation option). There is a very faint stain along the hem (I attach a photo of it) that they weren't able to completely remove, but I had to search to find it, and if you need it hemmed, it would completely disappear. There is also some roughness in the fabric on the hem where it touched the ground that is not noticeable unless examined very closely. This would also disappear if hemmed. The cleaner said the dress is in excellent shape.
I purchased it for $1600 at the Nicole Miller store here in Chicago, and I'm asking $950 for it, OBO.
E-mail me questions, and I'm happy to send you more photos.
