Cost depends largely on just a few factors - number of strands, size of pearl, and type of pearl used (I know you said ivory, but were you hoping for the classic round, rice shaped, coin, etc.).  If you have a budget you're trying to work with, that would be a great starting point for a discussion, along with the look that you're hoping for based on your gown.
