So, if you are going to try (like the 10 people before you) to scam me don't bother! I've already seen your email about sending you money, or your misspelled message about "interst in posted item"...Thanks though!
I'm reposting this dress to attempt to sell it to a REAL LIVE HONEST PERSON!
The dress is a Melissa Sweet-Jillian gown. It is a sample from Kleinfeld's, but it is in absolutely perfect condition. There is not a spot or defect on it. It has never been worn, and never altered.
It is ivory in color, and retails for nearly $4,000.00
The hip measurement is 40", and the waist is 29".
I love this dress, but it no longer fits our scaled down ceremony, and it must go!
I'm taking offers, see the pictures below, and I will ship anywhere for free!

posted by s0ngbird29 2 years agoHow do you know theyre scamming? Just curious because I'm selling a dress and want to know what they are saying, sorry to hear about all the crap youre dealing with! I hope you sell the dress, it's gorgeous by the way!

They are scamming because they ask to use a check, the email is obviously a form that they send to anyone posting a sale item(it's ridiculously misspelled, starts with Hello, I am interested in item, and includes questions that have nothing to do with the dress I'm selling), oh, and they don't ask any real questions about the dress, they just talk about payment and sending a courier to pick it up.
If you follow up with any of these questions, they'll usually run off. They don't like to be asked real things, they hope you are only distracted by potential payment!

posted by s0ngbird29 2 years agoSorry-I am selling a gown too, but I am also SO SICK of these scammers. I had one person email me and ask a ton of legitimate questions about the dress I am selling. The grammar was passable at times, but sometimes it was just not making any sense. She said that she can only pay by check because she got scammed by trying to buy off paypal once, which raised a red flag for me. I told her that was fine, but I wouldn't ship til the check cleared and she agreed. Then she said that she would arrange for FedEx to pick up the gown. Then she dropped the bomb-her fiance can only draw up a check for double the amount I was asking for the gown, and wanted me to send them a check for the difference. UM ARE YOU SERIOUS! Then I read the warning on Oncewed that these people who are trying to pay more for the dress and have you pay them the difference are scammers. What is wrong with people!

It's a sample size, which translates to a 29 inch waist and a 40 inch hip. I'm a street size 3/4 and I would have had to take about an inch out of both those measurements.
You won't find a better deal for a perfect, never worn, never altered dress.
I'll even ship it to you for free!!
Still for sale, and I've had only one scam email in the past two days! Yay!
posted by s0ngbird29 2 years agoThat's a small size 8 or maybe a street 6, if you don't know your measurements. I've got a 30" waist, 39" hips and I wear a pretty standard size 8. :)

posted by s0ngbird29 2 years agoI've been getting nothing but scams on my dress also. It is infuriating... in fact I've received 4 of almost the identical e-mails, but from different people. They always tell me they need a dress for a cousin/relative in nigeria and that they live in (insert London, Berlin, etc) They offer more money then necessary, never want any other details about the dress.... oy! Such a waste of my time to even read it!

Just wanted to let you know that I also had a dress I was trying to sell. I tryed weddingbee, and craigslist, but got nothing but scammers. I put it on oncewed.com about a month ago. Bingo I got the dress sold. I got one scammer the whole time it was on there. Give it a try and see what happens.
