The time has come for me to part with my lovely gown. I wore it once when it mattered and twice more for photo shoots, which is far more mileage than I imagined it would get. It took me almost a year to be rid of the sentimental value offered by the dress, but now that I'm free, I know it can better serve someone else.
FOR SALE:
Pronovias Diamante, size 10, from 2008 collection.
Made in Spain, high-quality craftsmanship, raw silk materials
Dress has been cleaned and preserved once, then worn for a photo shoot
A second cleaning would be advised to remove dirt from hem
Dress has not been hemmed at all (I am 5' 11") and will best suit someone who can have it hemmed 1.5 - 2 inches to remove any silk discoloration on hem that might remain after cleaning
$300 in alterations have been done to create a very attractive V-back (this dress was MADE for it!) bring in the bust/waist slightly, and add bust cups
My measurements are 36/26/38 - original size 10 gown measurements are 36.5/27.5/39.5
Comes in storage box with shape-keeping bustpiece and archival muslin
Hi Mrs. Cherry Pie! was the train on the dress ever altered? I am very interested in your veil and i am planning on ordering a dress soon, but the salon im going through has a special if i get a dress before May 7th, i can get a free veil, BUT i dont know if they have silk tulle and after seeing how flowy it is, i have to have it! I will contact you soon whether i decide on going with a diamante so i know the length will be appropiate. btw, would you take $100 for the veil? Thank you!
aww, bummer! i figured it probably would sell fast since its gorgeous. Do you happen to remember where you got it from? maybe i could do a phone order through them since i highly doubt Hawaii has anything like that.
btw, do you remember how far the veil fell away from the train? was it just a few inches? i'm deciding either a chapel or cathedral veil.
Lynn: The veil was pretty close to the train, I think! Cathedral would be suuuuper long. I ordered it from La Belle Elaine's bridal in Seattle. I'd look at the designer name, but I already sent it away. If you call them, they might be able to help you!

Dropping the asking price on the gown to $1300. Must move it before Spring Cleaning becomes a moot point! :D

posted by mrs-to-be 2 years agoLynn: I never altered the train on my dress. It was set up to be bustled as a French bustle (I think) but nothing was shortened or taken off.
Unfortunately the veil has been sold. Sorry! :(
Mrs-to-Be: I definitely have lots of photos of the dress in full. Check out some of my recaps for photos:
