I ordered WAY too much tissue paper to complete my pomander project. For those of you ready to tackle this DIY project, I am getting rid of the excess tissue paper and the best part is...It is ALREADY PRE-CUT to the size you will need to do your pomanders! Trust me, you will thank me later when you do not have to cut out a million rectangles to do your million flowers :) When I went to do my flowers, I noticed that there were a few squirrely cut rectangles that must have slipped whenever I originally cut them, but 95% of them are good to go!
I probably only used 1/2 of the tissue paper that I bought, and that was enough to complete 25 pomanders. I will sell my remaining stock for $80 (plus shipping) and that is significantly less than what I paid for the large reams of tissue paper that I had to cut by hand (which you will be receiving pre-cut).
I am willing to break the lot down further, but please know that I am not counting out every individual sheet so (because there are THOUSANDS) so I will be estimating on how much you will need. I will do my best to be as accurate as possible in breaking up the set. let me know what you need and we can work something out. Here are pictures of my completed pomanders and the sheets of tissue paper:
You wouldn't happen to be selling your pomanders after your wedding will you? Im not getting married until May 2013 but I thought I could jump on this now if it's possible.
Any tips on how to cut the tissue paper? im doing the same and Im having issues cutting the stupid paper. lol If I didnt already order mine and have it, i would Def. have bought yours! :)
@LisaL1984--Yes, I plan on selling the pomanders. Send me a message if you are interested
@gwombach--Ugh! I'm getting horrible wartime flashbacks just thinking about cutting all of that paper. The only advice I can offer, if you haven't already done so, is to purchase a large paper cutter. You can either purchase one with an "arm" blade (like you would see in a teacher work room :) or the sliding blade (which is what i used).
You can also take the tissue paper to an office supply store (Office Depot, Staples, etc) where they have the big industrial cutters. It's very cheap to have them cut it and it only takes about 5 minutes!
Any chance the plum pomaders are available?? If not, the tissue paper?? my wedding colors are 'berry' and navy but we want to make the pomaders berry, plum is the closest color. Please let me know.
