i'm wondering if any sf bay area brides are interested in sharing chiavari chairs? half of me really really NEED to get them for my wedding (oh pretty chairs, how i adore thee!)... howerver, the other half (the exel-sheet-realistic me) is having a hard time justifying spending the money b/c chivari chairs will really push the limits of my budget. Old story i'm sure! So after a little creative thinking, here's the plan...
i know there are a lot of girls out there in similar situations - power in numbers right? :) i've done a little research online and thought maybe I can purchse them. if there are 10 brides interested in sharing this summer, we can all have these pretty chairs at half the cost.
tentative logistics and details:
- 200 mahogany chirari chairs (i only need 180, but i thought 200 good be a good number for everyone)
- create a schedule so each brides will have a weekend to keep the chairs all to themselves
- i will house for the chairs this summer in the garage (though not beyond the end of this year b/c i promised husband-to-be that he can use the storage space in the garage for his "gym" after the wedding madness is over!)
- each bride will be responsible for their own transportation of chairs to and from the venue from my house
of course there will be a lot more logistics to work out, but the idea is that we make this work on the honor system that i (and other brides involed) are not here to make money, but to share these oh-lovely-chairs of our dreams without paying over the top prices...
anyways, just thought i'll throw the idea out there and see if there's interest for this little project. h
ow many chairs do you need and which weekend is your wedding?
I don't like in the Bay area and I don't need any chairs, but this is such a smart idea! Good luck getting together the group and keep us posted on your success :)
