Wanted: Cathedral Veil

posted 1 month ago in Looking

So I already sunk some $$ into a gorgeous, fingertip, two tier veil with crystals when I realized that I would probably prefer a one or two tier cathedral veil to go with my vintage-inspired dress.  Since I already sunk the $$ into my old veil, I can't particularly afford a new one.  I was wondering if anyone was looking to sell her veil to me for a reasonable price? Let me know!

I have a brand new never worn ivory colored cathedral length veil that I purchased from David's bridal. I also have the tiara. The veil  has tiny pearls scattered on it. I can send you a photo if you'd like. You can email me at ritanroderick@live.com  if you are interested.

I have a used ivory cathedral length veil that has an ivory satin ribbon (approx 1/4") around the entire edget of it.  I have pictures that I can send to you.  It has been preserved with my dress and would need to be steamed or pressed in order to smooth it out.  It has a simple hair comb at the top to secure it.  Please contact ndtexas@gmail.com if you are interested.  Thanks!

I made my own gigantic lace edged oval drop veil, and the place I got my tulle had extra wide widths... I think I must have bought 108" wide.  It's pretty tough handling enough tulle for cathedral for a do it yourself job (if you don't already know, tulle is cheap cheap cheap,) but it is doable.  I did a rough cut first, and then stapled scrap paper all around it to make it less slippery to fold for symmetry and did the final cut.  keep in mind the space you'd need to do this.  I put a dark bedsheet over my mother's dining table to help me see what I was doing, and when I wasn't working on it, I folded it in half and pulled a fitted bedsheet over the table to keep the cat hair off ;P

anyway, if you want to try this and can't get wide tulle locally, I can help you get some from the store where I got mine (toronto) if you send me a message.
