Hi. I want to share with you a little more information about my fiance and me. We've been dating approximately 14 years! So we had actually started saving the majority of our salary to fund the wedding ourselves. We had saved tens of thousands of dollars, enough to fund our dream wedding. However, I got into graduate school during which time life became extremely challenging for us. Last year my fiance and I were involved in a motor vehicle accident when an oncoming car hit us head on at 45 mph. The driver had stolen merchandise from a retail store and was trying to evade the police in his car. As a result from the crash, I broke 4 ribs, had a partially collapsed lung and was forced to take off a semester of school in order to undergo physical therapy. I was left without a car because my car was irreparable. My fiance sustained permanent nerve damage in his right arm and right leg. He was also forced to quit his job in order to get the physical therapy and treament that he needed. To this day, police have not found the man who hit us and then fled on foot after the accident. And finally, as if the accident wasn't challenging enough, last September, when Hurricanes Ike and Gustav arrived in Illinois, our condominum completely flooded, and we our cars and most of our belongings, including all my books from which I studied throughout my education. All these events happened in the last 2 years! We have since recovered from our injuries, rebuilt our life together and become an even stronger couple. My fiance has been my rock through it all, and it is a miracle that I am graduating in 2010. So why do we need your help? As I stated at the beginning of this letter, we successfully saved enough to have the wedding of our dreams. However, after family health issues, the accident, and the flood, we had to use the majority of our savings on medical bills, purchasing our basic necessities, and a down payment for a car. In addition, my father was laid off from work while he was sick with cancer, and I used much of my own savings to help pay the bills of my parents. All those savings were depleted. As a result, our wedding was postponed. This wedding is not just a long-awaited celebration of our union. I believe that This wedding celebrates our love for one another and its ability to help us conquer all the obstacles that emerged in last few years. I hope my story was able to convey to you how important our wedding means to us. It is a day to celebrate our 14 year relationship and the love that pulled me through hard times. I know that you probably have a very difficult decision ahead in selecting the deserving bride. I hope that you consider my story, and please let me know if there is anything else I can do. I thank you for your generosity and the opportunity. A wedding dress would help relieve so much of the financial burden of the wedding and be a wonderful way to celebrate my special day. My email address is: acarissa@yahoo.com. THANK YOU.
First off, THANK YOU so much for this opportunity. The reason why we need a free dress and why it would help is mainly because of finances. My fiance and I met at work and started dating 3 weeks after I started working there. Then another 3 weeks later we got a BIG surprise. The "IM PREGNANT" surprise! It was definently a great thing that we already knew we were perfect for each other. Our son is now 10 months old and he is the best thing that has ever happened to us; however, its very expensive. We are paying for our own wedding and we dont really have that much money. Our wedding is Sept. 18, 2010 just so we could get things done slowly. By winning a free wedding gown, that would give us an opportunity to use the money that wouldve gone to a dress, to be used toward something else for the wedding. Thank you again for the opportunity and best of luck to other brides.
The economy has hit us hard. My dad has taken a major pay cut at work, and my parents have had to pull out of helping us pay for the wedding. Now our budget is about 1/3 I thought it was going to be, and with being 4 months out...I don't know where the rest of the money will come from. We're scrambling to redo our budget and find some extra money somewhere because i think as of right now we're about $1k of our final deposits so this dress would be a blessing
My fiancee and I are paying our whole wedding without anyone's help, including our own parents. No one approves of our relationship because our families hate each other. We just want to be together. I work 3 jobs (Dairy Queen, stationary shop, and as a florist) and I attend a community college. He just joined the Navy and works day in and day out but we barely scrape by. We want our dream wedding but we know that we can't afford what we want. It would be a blessing to have a beautiful dress.
Pick me!? Please...?! I guess I don't have a life changing event that has led me to where I am today, but all I can say is that i'm in love. Genuinely, undoubtedly, head over heels happy to be getting married to my finacee. Over 7 years together, we are what you would call "high school sweethearts". We fight over the remote, I embarass him when I trip over EVERYTHING, we always seem to owe each other orange chicken, and I cannnot wait to take his last name. We are college grads with years of loans to pay off, months of pennies to pinch and 366 days until we FINALLY get married! I would love to have a beautiful dress from your wonderful store :)
Well I would say the reason I need a free dress is as everyone else we have has some life altering events this past year never mind the economy I lost my father 5 years ago and was to be married this August and have my grandfather fill in for him but as fate has it that did not work out my grandfather past away on 3/6/2009 suddenly and to add to my stress as he was helping me pay for my wedding my Fiancee took a second job and on last Monday he was hurt seriously well at work he received 121 stiches and 44 staples in his ankle and now may have artery damage so we are waiting for the results from todays test if this is the case I may just as well throw in the towel as he will not be able to return to work as he is a wharehouse manger for a plumbing supply company he is always on his feet and the second job does security and that on his feet also so right now a free dress would be great. Thansk for the taking the time and makeing one of our dreams come true. I can not wait for my wedding as we have been togather for 7 years and have been saving to have the wedding of our dreams.
I'm going to be getting married next year (almost 23!) to the love of my life - my fiance and I am incredibly excited now that it is less than a year away! We've had our fair share of ups and downs in our relationship and I'm happy to say we've been getting through it just fine. I'm incredibly proud of my fiance for keeping his head up and being my rock even though my parents disowned me for being with him (said I was too young and some other superficial reasons.) They said, "us or him, it can't be both." I obviously chose my fiance and I'm so happy I did. He's always there for me and he works hard to provide and build a life for us.
We've been hit hard by the recession just like everybody else has. I lost my job because of it, our house was robbed and we both had to put school on the back burner so we could have money to pay our rent. That hasn't bothered either of us in the least bit. All the less than ideal situations we've faced are just trials that have made us stronger and more resourceful. I don't think we'd be as close as we are today if we hadn't been through what we've experienced together.
We haven't been saving for a wedding forever. We're actually hosting a very cheap (Less than $2,000) but nice, wedding to celebrate the start of our marriage. We're paying for it all ourselves but their is a silver lining to it - neither of us have to answer to anybody else about our wedding choices!
It would be great to have a nice wedding dress to wear but ultimately, the only thing I'm concerned with is my fiance. The guests, the gifts, the food, the music, the outfits - all of it doesn't matter in the long run to me - as long as I'm with my fiance, I'm happy. I'd love to win the wedding gown so I can look pretty for my fiance - it would just add something to our day. But, in saying that, for us, the wedding isn't the apex, the pinnacle or the climax to our relationship - it's just the first day of the rest of our new lives together and I can't wait!
After 10 years and one son together we are FINALLY getting married! We are highschool sweethearts (yep, we are that disgustigly in love couple) and are paying for our (almost) 4k wedding ourselves which has proven to be quite difficult seeing as how my Mr. is in Grad school and working towards his PhD, I have to stay at home with our son (we can't afford daycare on what my income would be), and the only money we have to live on is the living allowance we get from his university. So I have been looking for my "ideal" dress on eBay and such with no luck finding something I like in our non existant price range. This is not a pity story by any means, just our circumstances...I would love for my love to see me looking amazing on our wedding day - the look on his face, I'm sure, will be a moment I will remember forever. Thank you for this AMAZING opportunity...my finger, toes, and anything else that can be crossed-are crossed!
Hi , My name is Christina and i just wanted to say that this is a great offer to whomever wins. In this day of economic uncertainty, one thing should be certain.Knowing that you will be as lovely as the dreams you had as a girl. I would love to get a dress.Free or otherwise. As of yet I do not have one. I have been looking everyday in craigslist and other sites like this. Our wedding is in November, so time is ticking. We have had a long engagement, but with so many things happening this past year our wedding was pushed on the back burner.I started school for the first time at age 31! Started my own photography studio as well. So i have little time for details. And it is not just my family that is having it harder, I know.
I have been helping my mom out for the past year, as her husband had a very bad accident and is unable to work yet. Things are finally starting to turn her way. I knew that my parents would be unable to help us pay for a wedding in the traditional sense.
My father is still in the process of re-building his home after he lost it in the hurricane. He finally just moved back home to NOLA a few monthes ago. With all this going on , I could never dream of bothering them with any added expense. So my darling husband to be suggested a loooong awaited vacation/destination wedding! We also wanted our family to enjoy the experience with us. We are very close to our moms and dads. It would'nt be right with out them. I also wanted my grand father to walk me down the aisle. So we are paying for all of the tickets.
We have 3 children , our youngest is in the midst of being diagnosed with autism. This has been a major reason I have not been able to do a whole lot of planning. As of now we are having a simple beach ceromony in a small fishing village in Mexico. I am hispanic and it means alot to me to have a traditional ceremony in my native country , with 4 generations of family around me. My entire family will stand with us as we say our vows. I know regardless of what i wear that i will remember this day forever. Having a great dress, would just make it that much better. Help me take my husbands breathe away. Thank you.
My fiance and I are budget-concious individuals and are keeping the cost of our wedding under $10,000. We feel it is important not to go into debt for the wedding day, and our main focus is making sure our guests are comfortable and have a good time. We're big fans of our families and friends and want to honor them just as much as they want to honor us. That is why we would like to focus our budget on the reception. It is also important to us to support local, live music and bands can be pricey, but we feel it's worth the cost and our guests will have a good time.
WOW!! All I can say is that I know there are a lot of people in this world who have been through a lot and could use the help:) It makes me feel not so alone for sure. I really can see that a lot of these people would deserve these dresses. I want to THANK YOU for doing this and makeing someones dreams come true:)
We have a very long and complicated story so I will just telll you a little:) Me and my fiance have been together for almost 3 years and have been engaged for 2 1/2. We have scheduled and attempted to have 3 weddings now and we have had to cancel all three. The first two were because I became ill and had to go to the hospital so those bill used any money we have and then the third time I became ill again and that is when we found out that I had thyroid cancer. So without any medical insurance I am sure that you can guess we didn't have the money. It is just so hard and frustratin when you work so hard and try to do all the right things and you just get delt some bad hands. Since we have no medical insurance I have had to quit treatments and can't work so we have lost our house, and our abiltiy to have that dream wedding:) It is hard, but I just thank the LORD everyday for his blessings and giving me my fiance, I am the luckiest girl in the world.
We are finally going to get married in just a small ceremony with a few friends that are able to make it. But I would love more than anything to where a beautifull gown for my fiance:) He feels like he has let me down since we aren't able to afford one of our own. The orignal one I had bought doesn't fit anylonger due to all the cancer stuff, and is being sold to pay for the little ceremony.
Whoever that you choose will be blessed beyond belief and even if it is not me, I am just so happy to see another deserving person blessed. THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!
OK SO I KNOW THIS IS JUST LIKE EVERY OTHER BRIDES STORY, WE ARE A YOUNG COUPLE, (HE IS 25, IN AM 24) WE HAVE BEEN DATING SENSE 9TH GRADE!!! (ABOUT 9YEARS) WE DID ABSOLUTLY EVERYTHING IMAGINABLE BACKWARDS! WE MOVED IN TO OUR 1ST APT TOGETHER ABOUT 3 1/2 YEARS AGO AND THEN SUPRISE SUPRISE...FIRST MONTHS RENT WAS DUE AND WE FOUND OUT WE WERE HAVING A BABY, SO THAN WE PURCHASED OUR FIRST HOME ABOUT TWO YEARS AGO!!! THAN FINALLY AFTER SO MANY YEARS MAY 2ND 2009 HE GAVE ME THE RING!!!!!!!!! CAN I TELL YOU I HAVE NEVER BEEN SO EXCITED BEFORE!!! THAN I REALIZED HOW INCREDIBLY EXPENSIVE A WEDDING IS AND DID I FORGET TO MENTION WE HAVE TO PAY FOR IT OURSELVES :( SO NOW WE ARE TRYING TO FIGURE OUT A WAY TO PAY THE MORTGAGE RAISE OUR CRAZY LITTLE BOY, WHILE BOTH OF US WORK FULL TIME JOBS, AND REALIZE THAT THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS SAVING LEFT OVER! ANYTHING WE COULD RECIEVE HELP WITH OFFSETTING THE COST WOULD BE AMAZING!!!!!
So, I'm the type of girl who thought she'd NEVER want a wedding, especially planning one, BARF!! But now that my best friend proposed to me, I want nothing more than to have a big party with everyone we love the most!!
We're paying for the whole sha-bang on our own! My dad tried to give me money that he'd secretly been saving for my wedding, but I know he's struggling just to stay afloat, so I gratefully declined the offer. With all my mom's medical bills from many treatments for her brain cancer, there's no way I could take money from him.
I paid my way through college as did my fiance (woah, I'm not used to saying that word yet!) and I know we'll have to keep the budget pretty tight for the next year in order to pay for a freakin' wedding!!! He just got accepted into school and will be going for his MBA this Fall. This means I'll be picking up extra shifts in the PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit) at Children's hospital, including extra night shifts and most likely every holiday to have extra moolah ;) I would love nothing more than to look amazing for my future husband on our day of celebration!!!!!!
This would be the answer to my prayers!!! My fiance and I are paying for the wedding all by ourselves because our parents are going through really tough times just being able to stay afloot. We are even helping them out at the same time so money has been very tight and we have had to compromise on a lot of the things that we wanted for our wedding originally. Its crazy how when your little you dream about how great it is to plan your wedding and unfortunately as an adult, unless you have no money issues, it does not turn out to be what you wanted. We are a pretty simple couple and we have cought back as much as we can (living on roman noddles & pb&j samiches for the last couple of months) to have a decent wedding. The wedding is now 2 months away and I am having nightmares that I am going to be walking down the isle in a regular dress because we have no more money to dish out for a dress that will make me feel like a princess. If we win this would be the best gift that we have ever received and would be eternally grateful! bless your heart for doing this, whoever the winner.....you are making a dream come true. =)
I am in such a dilemma now! I ordered a dress from JuliusBridal.com and it still has not been delivered to me. They are giving me the run around and it was promised to me two months ago! First, they said the factory in China did a horrible job and they have to remake it. Second, the director of sales informed me that I will have it by the end of THIS month. Today is June 29th and I have not received any correspondence from them. I am worried that I will be walking down the aisle with a dress that I do not love because of the time constraint. Thanks for reading!
I met my fiance when we were fifteen years old; we dated (as much as a 15 year dates!) for a short time then. We remained close friends throughout the coming years, while we both dated other people and each of us moved around with our families. While I was in another state, I got married (by the JP) and had two children.
A few years down the road I got divorced and moved back home where he and I rekindled what was always between us.
I am now twenty-nine years old and more in love with my fiance than I could ever have imagined possible. He is an amazing father to my children and I cannot wait to have more children with him. I feel like we lost so many years that we could have spent together if one of us would have just said what we were thinking out loud.
I hope to have one of those weddings where everyone crys at while the stunning bride walks toward her future and would love to walk toward my future in one of the amazing dresses on your site.
Me and my boyfriend have been together 8 yrs since i was 15. He has been my only boyfriend and to me my soulmate. All my family believes i should let him go because he won't go to the next step but i love him. Thats why Honestly i believe winning the wedding dress will finally encourage him to get married with me. We have postsponed getting married because we don't have enough money, but i really want to get married. We both know each other so well he knows when i am not in a good mood talking on the phone, he knows what i like and what i don't as i know everything about him. So i would really at least want to win a wedding dress and that will encourage him to take the next step that i have been waiting for so long.
Since I was a baby I dreamed of a princess wedding with my mom by my side( she was my best friend). I lost her when I was 16 and promise myself to never marry if she wasn't there beside me. A few years after she passed, I met a man that I'm convinced my mom sent for me. He's the exact picture of my Mom. He like puzzles, he always has a toothpick in his mouth after dinner and he's my best friend, just like she was. He knows that dress shopping without her will be hard, so that is why I'm entering your contest hoping maybe, I will enjoy my dress without the constant thought of not having my Mom with me.
Engaged for 3 years and wedding set for Nov. 14, 2009. First Generation American getting married in a 1st ever White Gown family will ever witness. This would mean the world to our family..
My Fiance and I are, like many other couples, paying for our own wedding. As bad as the economy is, we both only have part time jobs, and he is attending community college as well. With such a tight budget it would be an honor to win a dress that would make me feel like a princess without blowing half of our budget on it. Thank you for the oppertunity!
After 9 years together, our dream of walking down the aisle together will finally come true this year! Although it is a very exciting time for us, it comes bittersweet. Recently, the doctor told my father in law he has 3 to 6 months max to live, and less if they cannot get him stable enough to have a surgery that he desperately needs. We want to make sure he is there to stand next to Tim as his bestman, for they have an inseperable bond and true friendship that is unconditional. He is the rock in our family. It is extremely important to us that he is there with us! We don't have much money to get married, so this dress would be a huge blessing, and will lift a huge financial burden off of us. We would be extremely honored and forever greatful to be able to win. Regardless if we do, Thank you for helping someone elses dream come true! May God Bless you in the highest. Take care! Lisa
With the state of the current economy, job losses, tightening budgets, who wouldnt want anything free? My fiance and I are getting married after 3 years of being together. We are planning a wedding on $10,000 budget (paid for by ourselves) which has been extremely challenging. Winning a free dress will mean 1 less thing to spend money on and bragging rights to getting something in my wedding for free :-)! It will mean a whole lot to us. Email: tamika370@yahoo.com
I just got engaged and I have been waiting for it for 2 years. I came to America in 2006 and applied for political asylum, I didn't even hope to find a person who I will fell in love with because all my thoughts were about how to make minimum wage to pay for rent. I worked as a nanny, housekeeper, I worked at a Russian store 12 hours a day 6 days a week. I realized that nothing can be gotten for free even in the US. So I just decided that if I want to achieve something in this country I have to work hard and I did. I met my future husband on the internet, I wanted to find friends and I posted my profile online. I found him myself though :) He lived 50 miles away from me and I didn't even notice when I emailed him. We met and fell in love. I still don't have my political asylum but now I have my man :) We are paying for our wedding and I think that's how it's supposed to be. I would love to win a dress because I know how much things cost and I wouldn't take it for granted. Trust me, Americans are lucky to even have that kind of thing!
I would love to win one of your gorgeous dresses! My story is similar to the ones above- this darn recession is kicking everyone's butt. We are having to really scale down on all of the wedding plans. I hired my iPod as my DJ (no tip required!), I'm making my own veil, and I'm hiring one of my students to be the photographer. It would be nice to know that even with all of these cutbacks I can still wear a high quality dress.
First and foremost I think this giveaway is wonderful during the economic hardships society is facing and I believe whomever wins is deserving! My fiance is 28 years old a single mother to her beautiful 6 yr old daughter, she works part time with Alzheimers Patients, and is a full time Nursing student. I work full time with the Air National Guard and have been deployed all over the U.S. for what seems like most of our year and a half relationship. We are not high school sweet hearts although we went to high school together and we do not have a major life changing story. What we do have is special and although she has been married before she has never had a wedding ,"The wedding" that all you girls dream about. We are paying for this wedding ourselves and to date have very little saved up. Family is extremely important to both of us so our wedding will be at least 150 people so alot of our money will go there. I believe my fiance is deserving of this dress not only because it will help take a huge financial burden off of her but because she has been looking for a second hand dress on the internet and looking all over at consignment shops. This day is her day and if we have nothing but each other and family I know she would be happy but I would love her to feel beautiful inside and out on this day wearing the dress of HER dreams not someone elses. I know she has been on your web site and loves your designs so from a loving husband to be pick her she is very deserving and would be most appreciative. Thank you for your time and this opportunity you don't know how amazing this is! I am logged in under her name so this will be a total surprise to her if she wins could you email me at justin_smithspe@hotmail.com and again thank you for this opportunity.
We were HS sweethearts who went in opposite directions. 13 years later and 2 divorces to show and we found that the spark we originally had never went away. I have never been so happy and look forward to my new life. Unfortunately, financially we are both tapped. Our parents will not be able to help as mine are disabled and in their late 70s and his dad has recently laid off the job he had for the last 30 years due to the current economic situation from the d. My Fi previously owned a company and with the economy has taken a significant hit. He has decided that given the economy the business will not guarantee us the funds we need to live on a daily basis so he is now going back to school full time as well as working. Forget the legal bills that he is still working on from the divorce. I am in the military so job stability isn't an issue. Unfortunately, I am still working on legal bills from my previous divorce as well. Over $10,000 in legal fees takes a long time to pay off. Couple this with the fact that I also have over $250,000 in student loans which I am slowly repaying but on a military salary its a very slow process. I would have more student loans but I gave the military 3 years of my life in exchange for 2 years of school being paid for. I will be out next year (when the wedding is scheduled) and would love to be able to start our new life in a beautiful new dress.
Regardless who the winner is, she will be a lucky lady and your offer of generosity is very kind especially given the economy of late.
Where should I begin...as long as I can remember, me and my other half have always lived check by check. Never have had a chance to save up for anything and we still do not know how we will pay for all the things that we need for our day. March of this year, he started a new job and with both our income, things seemed to have slowed down a bit and we can breath easily. Every check we get goes to our bills and seems like we are working just to pay bills and buy food. Our families are not able to provide anything for us. Bad enough mine are hundreds of miles away and not even one will be able to attend. With this said, we don't need anyone to feel sympathy for us or feel sorry for us, we have been surviving and we are content with what we have and have a great life no matter how much struggle we have to face. No one thought we would have survived this long with all the arguments we have gone thru, mainly because of the stress but love has kept us together and it will keep us together.
If I win a dress, it would be a small part of finance stress that can fall off our back. I believe every bride should be able to wear something beautiful on her day and not settle for a dress b/c she simply cannot afford it. GL girls.
My fiance's parents are very traditional, so are only willing to pay for the traditional groom's costs. My sister is also engaged. Our dad is 68 and retired, and had planned to give us each a good sum of money for our weddings, but about two weeks ago, was diagnosed with stage 3 follicular non-hodgkins lymphoma. He started a six month course of chemo on Wednesday.
He's a vet, and very proud, and wants his "girls" to have their dream days. I want to get my dream day lined up with as much beauty as I can without asking him or my mom to sacrifice anything. So a free dress is not just a free dress, but one item off my dad's list of "to do's" to make sure we're taken care of...
hi, thank you for this opportunity to win a wedding dress. This has come at a great time for me.I have just put myself through bible college and have started a new job. My father graduated with me this may. My father moved us from pennslyvania to northern michigan when I was in the 11th grade. I can say I was not happy, because I was leaving everything I had known since I was born.BUT!!!!!! There is a happy ending to what I thought would be the end of my life. I began bible college a year after my fiance started. He moved from missouri. into the dorms. We worked together volunteering with young children at our church for over a year but never noticed each other. Then one day I started to notice him and was told he too had noticed me. We began dating in Oct.08. I know without a shadow of doubt he is (THE ONE) the Lord has for me.I am now graduated and he has one more year left of living in the dorm. My father was laid off from his job, so he is able to help me when he can. I have 4 brothers and sisters still at home. I do not want to put any more financial burden on my family,so I am working trying to put together money little by little .My fiance is working to pay his school bill.Winning this dress would be a HUGE BLESSING, and a big help to our finances, especially with the wedding 10 months away. So, thank you again with this chance to win my wedding dress.
I am like many others who have posted, I was laid off three months ago, my father has recently declared bankruptcy, my future mother in law was laid off 5 months ago after being with the company for 17 years and my sister who will be my matron of honor's, husband has been laid off as well. The economy is crummy and its been hard to plan a wedding that my fiance and I will be paying for 100%.
We could have delayed the wedding, given it another year, saved some money. But the wonderful thing about planning this wedding is that it has been a bright spot in all of our lives. Something to look forward to. My dad, who declared bankruptcy and will be losing his home calls me just to find out how the planning his going, if I have found a dress I like yet, what my colors are. It has made me realize that although weddings are about the bride and the groom as a celebration of their love. To the families we are joining it means as much if not more. They want to celebrate their pride and love for us. So why would I delay the sun when the world around is so cloudy? Well, we wont, we will make it work! I have family members who have volunteered to help cook so we don't need to have it catered, we have decided on a beautiful house on the edge of Lake Tahoe instead of a hotel. It will be a festive event regardless of what I wear or what we eat or how many flowers we can afford.
Neil and I have been together for 9 years now and with the love of our families we will be a rock and a bright spot in their lives for 50+ more. A free wedding dress to us would be another ray of light on what will no doubt be the sunniest day of our lives.
What an amazing opportunity to have! Since I've been engaged I've had BIG plans and some those where able to go through... with the problems there have been going on in California it has effected me big time. Unfortunately, I'm a state employee and am beginning to recieve cuts and furloughs. This was hard to take because at first the days off didn't seem so bad... until you do the math and realize you are taking a 15% pay cut. With this happening shortly after purchasing our first house it has cut us hard, and has made me decide on some areas of sacrifice for the wedding -- my biggest being photography, flowers... and my dress. Because a couple of my dream dresses where some fantastic Maggie Sottero gowns I just will no longer be able to afford those dresses. I know there will be a great dress out there for me that I can get for a smaller price, just none that I originally picked. I would be SO greatful, as would my parents and fiance who are helping with this wedding. I know it would mean so much to all of us. Thank you for this opportunity, it truly would be a blessing!
PPPLLLEEEAAASSSEEE ..................... PICK US... PLEASSSSEEEE .....................Hi, my name is Elizabeth and my fiance's name is Fermin. We have been together for 6 years you can say we are High School sweet hearts we met our senior year in High school and we have been together ever since. We have a 4 year old boy we have been planning our wedding for the past 2 years and every time we start making arrangements we get bad news this past October I was laid off, so we lost that income. I am a full time student I have a part time job and he works full time at a warehouse and also goes to school part time. It has been extremely hard trying to keep focused we have had to leave our son with his grandparents most of the time because of our situation. I think we would be good candidates because we have been working extremely hard to maintain our family strong and comfortable. The dresses are really expensive it would be a very big help for us and we would really appreciate it A LOT... PLEASE PICK US.. WE ARE BEGGING ...
Other than marrying the love of my life, wearing the dress of my dreams and feeling absolutley gorgeous is the most important part of my wedding. Unfortunatley, as of now, this will not be happening. My fiance and I are both full-time students in college. He is getting his RN, and I am getting a degree in Child Development. I do not graduate until next June, he in September..Our wedding is July 3, 2010. We are living paycheck by paycheck to make house payments and gas money to travel to school (35 mi. each way). It is rough. I have yet to find a dress that I both LOVE, and can AFFORD. My parents are paying for the majority of the wedding, however the dress and wedding bands and some of the other little things are up to me and my Fiance. To win a gown from your shop would be the greatest gift I could ever ask for. It will allow me to relax, and breathe and enjoy my wedding planning without worrying where I am going to come up with extra money here and there to afford a dress. This is the greatest offer, and I would be happy for anyone because we are all just as deserving. But I feel I really NEED this opportunity. For my sanity and so I can feel beautiful and happy and enjoy every minute of my day! :) Thank you so much!!!
Looking at your site, you have two specific dresses that I am ABSOLTUELY in LOVE with. : ( I hope I will be fortunate enough to wear one of them.

THANK YOU.
posted by acarissa 5 months agoHI,
First off, THANK YOU so much for this opportunity.
Sincerely
Janel

We're scrambling to redo our budget and find some extra money somewhere because i think as of right now we're about $1k of our final deposits so this dress would be a blessing

He just joined the Navy and works day in and day out but we barely scrape by. We want our dream wedding but we know that we can't afford what we want. I would love to have a beautiful dress from your wonderful store :)

posted by Miss Chocolate Chip 5 months agoWell I would say the reason I need a free dress is as everyone else we have has some life altering events this past year never mind the economy I lost my father 5 years ago and was to be married this August and have my grandfather fill in for him but as fate has it that did not work out my grandfather past away on 3/6/2009 suddenly and to add to my stress as he was helping me pay for my wedding my Fiancee took a second job and on last Monday he was hurt seriously well at work he received 121 stiches and 44 staples in his ankle and now may have artery damage so we are waiting for the results from todays test if this is the case I may just as well throw in the towel as he will not be able to return to work as he is a wharehouse manger for a plumbing supply company he is always on his feet and the second job does security and that on his feet also so right now a free dress would be great. Thansk for the taking the time and makeing one of our dreams come true. I can not wait for my wedding as we have been togather for 7 years and have been saving to have the wedding of our dreams.

posted by LaBellaSposa 5 months agoI'm going to be getting married next year (almost 23!) to the love of my life - my fiance and I am incredibly excited now that it is less than a year away!
Thanks!

Well, I'll keep it short and sweet:
Thank you for this AMAZING opportunity...my finger, toes, and anything else that can be crossed-are crossed!

posted by apptygmbrzrk 5 months agoHi , My name is Christina and i just wanted to say that this is a great offer to whomever wins.
Thank you.
posted by sweetsouthernhelle 5 months agoMy fiance and I are budget-concious individuals and are keeping the cost of our wedding under $10,000.

posted by BloomsGurl 4 months agoI am in such a dilemma now! Thanks for reading!
posted by pinnochio 4 months agoI met my fiance when we were fifteen years old; we dated (as much as a 15 year dates!) for a short time then.
I hope to have one of those weddings where everyone crys at while the stunning bride walks toward her future and would love to walk toward my future in one of the amazing dresses on your site.

posted by freshies13 4 months agoSince I was a baby I dreamed of a princess wedding with my mom by my side( she was my best friend).

No one thought we would have survived this long with all the arguments we have gone thru, mainly because of the stress but love has kept us together and it will keep us together.
posted by PunSass 4 months agoIf I win a dress, it would be a small part of finance stress that can fall off our back. I believe every bride should be able to wear something beautiful on her day and not settle for a dress b/c she simply cannot afford it. GL girls.
XoXo and thanks for the opportunity
My fiance's parents are very traditional, so are only willing to pay for the traditional groom's costs. My sister is also engaged. Our dad is 68 and retired, and had planned to give us each a good sum of money for our weddings, but about two weeks ago, was diagnosed with stage 3 follicular non-hodgkins lymphoma. He started a six month course of chemo on Wednesday.
He's a vet, and very proud, and wants his "girls" to have their dream days. I want to get my dream day lined up with as much beauty as I can without asking him or my mom to sacrifice anything. So a free dress is not just a free dress, but one item off my dad's list of "to do's" to make sure we're taken care of...
posted by iii2bee 4 months agohi, thank you for this opportunity to win a wedding dress. So, thank you again with this chance to win my wedding dress.
posted by stephans2010 4 months agoI am like many others who have posted, I was laid off three months ago, my father has recently declared bankruptcy, my future mother in law was laid off 5 months ago after being with the company for 17 years and my sister who will be my matron of honor's, husband has been laid off as well.
A free wedding dress to us would be another ray of light on what will no doubt be the sunniest day of our lives.
posted by Vnessie 4 months agoWhat an amazing opportunity to have!

WE ARE BEGGING ...

posted by lize5t 4 months agoOther than marrying the love of my life, wearing the dress of my dreams and feeling absolutley gorgeous is the most important part of my wedding.
